Explain about the Password Expiration Policy?

Profit.co provides an option to change their Profit.co account password within a specific timeframe with reminders.

Note: Only Super Users have the access to set dates for giving reminders.

Why this Feature?

By this feature we can give a prompt message to the user’s to their own account and also you can set an automatic reminder mail about the password expiration by mentioning a specific timeframe.

Step 1:

Go to Settings → Security → User Access.

Enable the toggle in Password Policy.

Note: By default it’ll be in disabled state.

Step 2:

After enabling the toggle, set the days for making a prompt message.

For instance if the Super User has set the count as 60 days, the user will be getting a prompt message for changing the password with the reset link.

Step 3:

Also you can send automatic reminder mail to the user about the password expiration by setting the count of specific days within which the use will be reminded to set the new password.

If you have forgotten to reset your password , your account will expire. If you try to login you’ll be getting the message as “Your password has expired”.

Also you’ll be getting an email notification that your password has expired.

When the user clicks on the Change Password button, the page will be redirected to the change password page.

Users can change their password by entering the old password and new password. After that they can login to their Profit.co account with the new password.
