What is the default session timeout in Profit.co?
Category: General
In Profit.co, a session timeout is defined as a passive period in which the user remains inactive on the application for a specified interval as defined by the server.
Why this feature?
- The Session Timeout feature allows users to set a specific time interval for automatic logout. If a user remains inactive beyond the defined period, the system marks their session as invalid and logs them out.
- This enhances security by preventing unauthorized access, optimizes system performance by freeing up resources, and ensures compliance with industry best practices for data protection.
Note: Only Super Users can check/update the default session timeout period.
Step 1
Navigate to Settings → Security from the left navigation panel and switch to the User Access tab.
The default session timeout duration is 20160 minutes which is 14 days. You can reset or change the duration using the Reset button.
