The team must have been created and employees must be associated with the team. If you haven’t created the team yet, refer to this guide to create teams. You must be a member of the team to create the team objective.

Step 1:

Once you are logged in as the team member, click OKRs in the left navigation panel. In the menu, under OKRs you can find your Team OKRs menu. Here the user logged in belongs to the Digital marketing team.

Click on your Team OKRs menu.

Important: You won’t see this menu option listed here if you are not a part of the team. Select the Sales Team OKRs.

Step 2:

In the My Teams’ OKRs main page you can view all the Active OKRs for your team. Click Create OKR and select the option Step-by-step Guide.

Step 3:

Enter your objective name in the field What do you want to achieve?  And enter a description for the objective in the field the Provide Further Context. This is optional. Then click Next

Or you can also create an objective quickly from the predefined templates. Click the Create from Template

These are the objectives preloaded into the system. To find the right objective from the template you use the category filter on the left side.  Once you find the right objective, click Select to pick the objective. Click Next.

Step 4:

The target date defines the date by when you’ve to complete the objective.

You can select the quarter of the year on the right-hand side and this will automatically select the start date and the end date in the calendar.

You can also manually traverse through the months using the arrows to select the dates as your objective needs.

Once you’ve selected the dates, click Next to proceed.

Step 5:

In this step, you will align your objective with the upper-level OKR like Corporate OKR, Department OKR or Teams OKR. But this step is optional.

Alignment means that your objective will directly contribute results to the upper-level OKR.

Here the sales team objective is aligned with Other Team’s OKR to Grow RevenueClick the alignment icon to toggle between aligning and removing the alignment.

The Selected OKRs tab lists down all the upper-level OKRs to which the team’s objective has been aligned.

Click Complete to finish creating your team’s objective.
