Profit.co lets you narrow OKR data using Custom Filters and Filter Grouping so you only see what's relevant. List View now also includes a dedicated OKR Type filter to narrow results to just Objectives, Key Results, or Initiatives.

What is the Filter Option?
The Filter option lets you narrow OKR data using Custom Filters, which combine criteria such as Status, Tag, Owner(s), Progress %, Objectives, and Key Results from one centralized location. Filter Grouping lets you access and combine multiple filters at once.
In List View, an OKR Type filter lets you narrow results to a specific type, Objective, Key Result, or Initiative, using an is or is not condition. This filter can be combined with the other existing filters for a more targeted list.
Why the Filter Option Matters
Filters turn a long, mixed OKR list into exactly the data you need, and the OKR Type filter now makes that narrowing possible by type as well as by criteria like Status or Owner.
| Benefit | Description |
|---|---|
| Centralized filtering | Status, Tag, Owner(s), Progress %, Objectives, and Key Results filters are all available from one location. |
| Faster narrowing | Large OKR lists in List View can be filtered down to a specific OKR type in a few clicks. |
| More precise views | The OKR Type filter can be combined with existing filters for a more targeted list. |
| Less scrolling | You skip manually scanning mixed lists to find a specific OKR type. |
| Easy re-use and sharing | Saved filters and custom views can be reused instantly or shared with other users via a link. |

- Click More Options and choose Share Link.

Filter Option Scenarios and Their Outcomes
| Scenario | What Happens |
|---|---|
| You apply a filter, such as Status or Owner(s), in Custom Filters. | Profit.co narrows the list to items matching that criteria without changing the underlying Objectives, Key Results, or Initiatives. |
| You select OKR Type as the filter field in List View. | The list updates to show only the Objective, Key Result, or Initiative type you chose, based on the is or is not condition. |
| You save a filter. | Profit.co adds it to the saved filter dropdown so you can reapply it later without rebuilding the criteria. |
| You generate a share link for a saved filter or custom view. | Other users who open that link see the same pre-configured filtered view without recreating it themselves. |
Best Practices for Using Filters
- Combine the OKR Type filter with Status or Owner(s) filters in List View to jump straight to specific Key Results or Initiatives instead of scrolling through mixed lists.
- Save filters you use often so you can reapply them from the saved filter dropdown instead of rebuilding the same criteria each time.
- Share a filtered view's link instead of describing the filter criteria to a colleague, so they see the exact same list you're looking at.
- Use the is not condition when you want to exclude a specific OKR type, such as viewing everything except Initiatives.
- Check List View for the OKR Type filter first when your list mixes Objectives, Key Results, and Initiatives together, rather than scrolling to tell them apart manually.
