How to manage Sync Status and Weighted Key Results at the Objective level in Profit.co?

Profit.co provides a Manage Contribution option at the Objective level to help users control how Key Results influence the Objective's overall progress and status.

Why this feature?

• This feature allows you to sync the Objective’s status with its Key Results and assign weightage to each Key Result, helping define how much each one contributes to the Objective.
• By using this option, you can ensure the Objective reflects real-time progress and prioritize certain Key Results by assigning them a higher weight.

Step 1:

Navigate to the OKRs page, select your desired Objective, click the More Options (⋮) icon, and choose Manage Contribution.

Step 2:

In the Manage Contribution pop-up, you will see two toggles:

1. Sync Status

By enabling the Sync Status toggle, the Objective’s status will be updated based on the confidence percentage of its Key Results.

2. Weighted Key Results

Enable this toggle to assign individual weights to each Key Result under the Objective. This helps define how much each Key Result contributes to the overall Objective progress.

Note: The total weight assigned across all Key Results should equal 100%. If the total exceeds 100%, an alert will be shown.

For example, 

For the KR “Conduct monthly check-ins with 100% of high-value customers”, enter the weight as 30%.

For the KR “Increase customer satisfaction (CSAT) score from 50 to 70”, enter the weight as 70%.

After setting the key result weight (Total weight equals 100%):

The overall progress of the objective “Enhance customer satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement and support” is calculated as follows:

Objective = [(Key Result progress 1 x Key Result weightage 1/100) + (Key Result progress 2 x Key Result weightage 2/100) +......... (Key Result progress n x Key Result weightage n)]
