How does the "Exempted OKRs for Cockpit" feature work for departments in Profit.co?
Category: OKRs
Profit.co provides the "Exempted OKRs for Cockpit" feature to manage cases where specific departments that are not supposed to have any OKRs, are part of the OKR journey. This feature allows these departments to be included in the OKR process without being shown as exceptions or anomalies, ensuring that their absence of OKRs does not negatively impact overall performance tracking.
Why this feature?
- The exempted feature in Profit.co ensures that departments solely for hierarchical purposes are not unfairly measured against OKRs. Focusing only on relevant departments provides a true reflection of performance and keeps the OKR dashboard aligned with strategic objectives.
- This feature recognizes the unique contributions of supportive departments without imposing inappropriate OKRs, leading to more accurate and meaningful implementation of OKRs and enhancing overall organizational effectiveness.
Charts preventing exempted departments from appearing in Cockpit:
Step 1
Navigate to Settings → User Management from the left navigation panel and switch to the Departments tab.
On the Departments page, choose the department you want to exempt and click the Edit icon.
For instance, if "Content Marketing" has no OKRs and appears on the "Departments Without OKRs" chart, enable the toggle to remove the department name from this list.
In the Update Department side panel, enable the Exempted OKRs for Cockpit toggle. Once done, click the Update button.
After that, the department will no longer appear in the "Departments Without OKRs" chart in the OKR cockpit.
Note: Users can customize the columns displayed in the OKR Cockpit’s table charts by selecting and arranging columns to show or hide using the “Add Column” option.
