How does the Password Policy work in Profit.co?

Profit.co allows users to change their Profit.co account password within a specified timeframe with reminders.

Why this Feature?

  • Stronger password requirements reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
  • Helps meet compliance standards like GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO by enforcing secure authentication practices.

Step 1

Navigate to Settings → Security → User Access and enable the Password Policy toggle.

Set the timeframe and reminder day to send users notifications. Users will be prompted to change their password when they first log in after every 30 days.

When the user hits the deadline, they are automatically logged out of their account and receive a warning that their password has expired, as shown in the image below.

To change the password, the user must select Change Password and send a password reset link to the email address.

Click on the Reset Password button in the email to reset the password.

Profit.co password has criteria to define a strong password, It requires

  • 8 characters minimum
  • One uppercase character
  • One lowercase character
  • One number or symbol

A green bubble will appear if all the requirements are met as shown in the image below.

Once defined, Click on Submit to reset your Password.
