Based on an employee’s potential and performance assessments, their manager and HR can decide if it’s appropriate to initiate an Individual Development Plan (IDP) for the employee.
If an employee is on the path to promotion and is ready to take the next step in their career, HR can initiate an IDP by navigating to the Performance module → HR Administration → Individual Development Plan.
Once on this page, HR administrators can begin a plan by pressing “Initiate.”
When HR initiates a review, they can enter the employee’s name, who their coach or mentor will be, the target date, and a description. Once they’ve entered the basic information, they can send the IDP to the coach/mentor, where they can list the expected actions for employees in their current role and future role.
The coach will then receive a notification in their action center, which they can select to add activities for the current and future roles.
Once they’re ready, they can press “Initiate IDP” to send the plan to the employee. The employee can then track their progress on the activities assigned to them.
