How to provide access to the department members for linking their parent/sub department initiatives with their OKRs ?

Profit.co provides access to the department members for linking their parent/sub department initiatives with their OKRs .

Why this Feature ?

Previously the department members were able to link the Initiatives in the OKRs within their respective departments. Now we have an option for the users to link the parent/sub department initiatives to their OKRs.

Step 1

Go to Settings → Strategy → Initiatives.

Enable the toggle for the sub-category option Include parent departments and Include sub departments.

Note: Also you can set the count of restrictions for adding the initiatives in the department. Only Super users can be able to enable the toggle for including Initiatives.

Step 2

Before creating a new OKR let’s set an initiative and assign it to the department Digital Marketing.

The Digital Marketing department is the parent department for SEO.

Step 3

So if the employees create a new OKR using Step-by-Step guide they will be having the access to link the initiative of the sub department or the parent department.

While creating a new Objective, the initiative Improve Ranking which belongs to the Parent department Digital Marketing will also be reflected in the sub department. While creating an objective in the sub-department SEO the user can select the initiative.
