How do I define weights for key results within an OKR in Profit.co?

Category: OKRs

Profit.co allows users to specify the weightage of each key result under an objective to reflect the varying impact each key result can have. Profit.co calculates OKR progress according to these weightage values, allowing for a more accurate reflection of progress in your organization.

Why this feature?

  • Distributing weightage among key results signifies the impact and importance of certain key results over others.
  • Progress made on key results that will have a higher impact on the success of the objective should weigh more than progress made on key results that do not have as high an impact on that objective.

Step 1

Navigate to Settings → OKRs → Authoring from the left navigation panel.

In the Key Results page, scroll down to the Weighted OKRs section, and enable the toggle “Allow users to define weights for Objective”.

Note: Only Super Users can enable this toggle.

Step 2

Users can set weights for the key result on the OKR Overview page.

Select the objective name containing Key results for which you want to set the weightage and go to the Overview menu.

Click on the Weightage Icon.

Step 3

The weightage should be divided accordingly, such that the total weight calculated should not exceed more than 1. If the total weight exceeds the whole number 1, then you will be alerted with the alert icon

Note: When adding a new Key Result to an objective with predefined weights, a pop-up allows you to modify and update the weights. Likewise, deleting a Key Result prompts another pop-up for weight adjustment.
