Why integrate
What you can do with BigQuery + Profit.co

Auto-update KPIs from live query results
SQL queries run against BigQuery automatically populate your key results. No exporting data, no copying values, no asking analysts for weekly numbers.

Bring warehouse metrics into your strategy
Any metric stored in BigQuery — revenue, churn, active users, pipeline value — can become a live OKR key result. See what’s moving the moment your data updates.

Assign ownership to every metric
Map specific queries to key results and assign each to a team owner. Every stakeholder knows which team is responsible for which number — accountability becomes visible, not assumed.

Data sync
What data syncs
SQL Query Results
Any metric returned by a BigQuery SQL query maps directly to an OKR key result. Supports Increase KPI, Decrease KPI, and Control KPI types — covering increases, reductions, and threshold targets.
BigQuery Projects
Connect to any Google Cloud project in your BigQuery environment, scoping key result data precisely to the dataset and table your team owns — from org-wide to a single project.
Automated Check-in Values
Profit.co executes your SQL query at each check-in and pulls the current value automatically, replacing manual data entry with live warehouse results every time.
Why combine BigQuery with OKRs?
Most strategy teams track their most important metrics in data warehouses like BigQuery — but those metrics never make it into their OKR check-ins. The BigQuery + Profit.co integration closes that gap: your SQL queries run automatically at check-in time, pulling live values directly into your OKR key results. Strategy stays connected to the numbers that actually matter.
Getting started
Set up in 3 steps
No developer required. You’re live in under 10 minutes.
1
Enable in Settings
Go to Settings → Integrations → Connectors, select the User Level tab, and enable the BigQuery toggle. Only Super Users can enable integrations — check with your Profit.co admin if you don’t see this option.
2
Sign in with Google
Go to Preferences → Integrations and click the BigQuery Manage button. Enter a connection name and click Sign in to BigQuery — authenticate with your Google account and select Allow. Your BigQuery environment is now securely linked.
3
Map it to a Key Result
When creating a Key Result, select Automate Check-in and choose BigQuery from the dropdown. Pick your project, enter your SQL query, run it to confirm the current value, and click Add. Profit.co pulls live data at every check-in from that point on.
Enterprise grade security
Keep your company’s data secure and compliant with industry-leading security standards and certifications.
Have questions?
We got answers.
Yes. The Profit.co and BigQuery integration is built directly into the Profit.co platform. You connect via Google OAuth — no third-party middleware or additional tools are required to get started.
Yes. Once connected, you can select Automate Check-in on any Key Result and point it to a BigQuery project and SQL query. Profit.co runs the query and pulls the latest value every time a check-in is triggered. Automatic check-ins also run daily at 09:00 AM in the user’s region.
Profit.co reads the result of any SQL query you write against your BigQuery projects. The numeric output of the query is used as the current value for your key result. Any metric you can query in BigQuery — revenue, signups, churn rate, SLA adherence — can feed an OKR.
The BigQuery integration supports three key result types: Increase KPI (for metrics you want to grow), Decrease KPI (for metrics you want to reduce), and Control KPI (for metrics that must stay within a target range). This covers the majority of data-driven OKR tracking scenarios.
The BigQuery integration is included in all Profit.co paid plans. You can explore the integration during your free 30-days trial — no credit card is required to start.
No developer is required for the connection setup. You will need Super User access in Profit.co and a Google account with access to your BigQuery project. Writing SQL queries to define your key result metrics does require familiarity with SQL, or collaboration with your data team.
Yes. The BigQuery integration is configured at the User Level, meaning individual team members can each connect their own Google account to pull data from their respective BigQuery projects and track personal or team-level key results independently.
Yes. Profit.co is SOC 2 Type II certified and ISO 27001 certified. All data transferred between BigQuery and Profit.co is encrypted in transit and at rest using 256-bit encryption. Review the full security overview at profit.co/data-security.
