Improve Infrastructure Reliability

In this example, we are going to write an OKR to Improve Infrastructure Reliability. This objective is vital to the functioning of your team and your product. Improving this aspect of your department has larger implications for the improvement of your entire business model.

The key results that will help you achieve this objective are:

• Move to Google Cloud
• Create an NOC to monitor every infrastructure component
• and Integrate Amazon SES

Input the title of your objective.

Using the form, we will put in our key result: Move to Google Cloud. We will set a target date for this move, and, because this key result is not associated with any metric but rather a sequence of steps to be completed, we’ll select the milestone tracker key result type.

Then, we can create a new sequence, search for one using the magnifying glass, or type in the name of a preexisting sequence using the search bar.

After we select our sequence, you can assign this key result to a team member by clicking the magnifying glass and selecting the employee you’d like to assign it to. You can see the selected team member here. Set a weekly check-in date here, and press create. The progress of this key result is measured by percentage, as each step brings you closer to the completion of the key result.
