Increase Employee Engagement

In this video, we’ll create the OKR “Increase Employee Engagement”. Team development and employee engagement is an aspect of the HR department’s responsibilities that can have tangible repercussions in the everyday lives of employees. Creating an OKR to purposefully increase employee engagement can positively impact multiple facets of work life, such as productivity, job satisfaction, and employee retention.

The key results we could use to measure this Objective are:

• Increase employee satisfaction score from 70% to 90%
• Improve glassdoor.com rating from 3 to 4.5
• Increase employee participation in quarterly retreats from 75% to 95%

Let’s input this OKR in the Profit.co software.

After entering your Objective, you’ll create a new key result using the form. Input the first key result title– Increase employee satisfaction score from 70% to 90%– and select the target date for completing this key result. Because this key result contains a metric we would like to achieve– a higher employee satisfaction score– we’ll select “Increase KPI” from the drop down menu. You can create a new KPI by pressing the plus sign symbol, or search for an existing KPI by browsing with the magnifying glass or searching the title. Indicate the percentage you’re at now–70%– and the percentage you’d like to achieve– 90%.

Then, you can indicate if you’d like to assign this key result to another member of your team, and add any additional context. Finally, select the desired frequency for check-ins on this key result, and press create.
