What Is Individual Development Plan (IDP) Report Download?
IDP Report Download is the export function that turns Individual Development Plan data inside Profit.co into a file you can save outside the platform. It runs through an Export History panel rather than an immediate file save, and the scope of what's included depends on where you trigger it from.

Why Does Downloading IDP Reports Matter?
For HR Admins and HR Business Partners, this feature creates a portable copy of IDP data for reporting and audits outside Profit.co. Coaches and mentors get the same convenience for the employees who report to them, without opening each plan individually online.
How Do I Download Individual Development Plan Reports?
Download as HR Admin or HR Business Partner
Step 1
- Navigate to Performance → HR Administration and switch to the Individual Development Plan tab.
- Click the More icon and select Download.
- Confirm the Info popup by clicking OK.
Note
You can now filter this same Individual Development Plan list using the new Filter option, so you can locate specific plans before exporting instead of scrolling the full list.
Download From the Export History Panel
- In the Export History side panel, click the download icon to download the report.
Download as an Individual User
Step 1: Open My IDPs
- Navigate to Performance > Individual Development Plan > My IDPs.
- Click the More icon and select Download.
- Confirm the Info popup by clicking OK.
Coaches and mentors follow the same two steps from My Employees' IDPs and Mentor IDPs respectively.
What Happens When You Download Individual Development Plan Reports?

What Are the Best Practices for Downloading Individual Development Plan Reports?
- Narrow the IDP list with Filter before exporting from HR Administration, so a large employee base doesn't force you to scroll for the plans you need.
- Pick Current Filtered View when exporting a subset for a specific team or status, and All View only when you need the complete organization-wide file.
- Check the Export History panel for an existing file before regenerating one, since completed exports stay listed there for reuse.
- Use the My IDPs, My Employees' IDPs, or Mentor IDPs tab that matches your role, since each one scopes the download to only the plans you're meant to see.
- Complete the Info popup confirmation in one sitting rather than switching tabs mid-export, so the download isn't left unconfirmed.
